how it All Began
Right after college, I was offered a position at a company where I was mentored by a Sr. Electronic Engineer who also worked part-time as a Partner in an electronic consulting firm. As I gained experience, my mentor invited me to “moonlight,” part-time, at his consulting company. Before long, I was taking on more responsibilities, from meeting prospects and writing proposals to handling the engineering work and managing invoices. However, I soon realized that while I was doing much of the work, I wasn’t receiving the full financial benefits. Admittedly, this motivated me to start my own business, offering electronic and firmware design services from my home. As a result, in 1981, what is now Tecnova Inc. was formed, and over time my client base continued to grow.
As I became more familiar with the industry, I noticed that most electronic design firms do not offer contract manufacturing services, and most contract manufacturers do not provide electronic design under the same ownership. By combining both services under one roof, customers can count on a seamless process with no finger-pointing or blame-shifting if challenges arise during design or manufacturing. This integrated approach promotes accountability and ensures smoother project outcomes. To fulfill this vision, Tecnova Electronics, Inc., a leader in Electronic Manufacturing Services, was established in 1987, solidifying our commitment to being a Single-Source Solution in the electronics industry.

Terry Coleman Sr.
CEO – Tecnova, Inc
Terry Coleman Sr. is the founder of both Tecnova Inc and Tecnova Electronics Inc, and currently serves as the CEO of Tecnova Inc. A visionary and tireless leader, Terry established the company in 1981 to integrate cutting-edge engineering technology into innovative products for businesses. With his extensive knowledge and expertise in electronic engineering, he has guided the company to success by emphasizing a balance between design excellence and cost-effectiveness.
Terry is the original architect and advocate of Tecnova’s “design-it-right, build-it-right” philosophy, where quality is embedded in every stage of the process, rather than relying on inspections during production. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
Terence Coleman Jr.
President – Tecnova Electronics Inc
As President, Terence Coleman Jr. leads Tecnova’s’ electronic manufacturing division with a clear vision for success. His leadership motivates, organizes, and energizes the team to achieve both the company’s short-term targets and long-term goals.
Terence Coleman Jr., brings 25 years experience in operations, business development, IT, software development, and complex project management to his role as President. He is an alumnus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he earned his degree in computer engineering.
Kathy Fox
Executive Vice President – Tecnova Electronics Inc
Kathy leads the management team at Tecnova Electronics, bringing people together and driving continuous improvement, while keeping quality and on-time delivery for our customers foremost in mind. She’s passionate about building lasting partnerships by making sure our internal processes align with customer goals.
Since joining Tecnova in 1996, Kathy has been a key player in our growth, overseeing Finance, HR, and Supply Chain. Kathy is dedicated to ensuring Tecnova’s ongoing success and growth for years to come. Kathy holds a BA in Management and Communications with a minor in Accounting from Concordia University.

With over 25 years of experience, Sean, our Senior Vice President, brings dynamic leadership and meticulous oversight to all Tecnova Electronics production operations. His unwavering commitment to quality and process efficiency ensures that our customers consistently deliver market-leading
solutions.
In addition to managing all of our electronic manufacturing he also keeps projects on track. Sean continually finds way to enhance production efficiency by implementing optimal technologies at each stage of the process. Driven by a relentless pursuit of perfection, Sean continually strives to elevate our standards and outcomes.
